Sponsored post pricing by platform
Sponsored post rates remain platform-specific. Short-form video commands a premium per asset, but pricing per impression is highest on long-form YouTube and on engaged niche Instagram accounts.
These ranges assume a single deliverable, organic posting, and no whitelisting. Add 30–70% for usage rights and 20–40% for exclusivity.
| Creator size | Instagram Reel | TikTok video | YouTube integration | YouTube dedicated |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1k–10k (nano) | $75–$350 | $50–$300 | $150–$600 | $400–$1,200 |
| 10k–50k (micro) | $300–$1,200 | $250–$1,000 | $500–$2,500 | $1,500–$5,000 |
| 50k–250k (mid) | $1,000–$4,500 | $800–$4,000 | $2,000–$8,000 | $5,000–$15,000 |
| 250k–1M (macro) | $3,500–$12,000 | $3,000–$10,000 | $7,500–$25,000 | $15,000–$50,000 |
| 1M+ (mega) | $10,000+ | $8,000+ | $20,000+ | $40,000+ |
UGC pricing vs. influencer pricing
UGC and influencer work look similar but price on different axes. Influencer deals price the audience. UGC prices the asset and the rights.
A creator with 800 followers and strong, on-brand video can out-earn a 50k influencer if they ship 4–6 high-converting hooks per month with usage rights bundled in.
| Deliverable | New UGC creator | Mid UGC creator | Established UGC creator |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 short-form video (15–30s) | $60–$150 | $200–$450 | $500–$1,200 |
| 3 hooks / variants | $150–$300 | $400–$900 | $900–$2,000 |
| Photo set (5–10 images) | $80–$200 | $250–$600 | $600–$1,500 |
| Voiceover ad read | $50–$150 | $200–$450 | $500–$1,200 |
| Monthly retainer (4 videos) | $300–$900 | $1,200–$3,500 | $3,500–$8,000 |
How usage rights change pricing
Usage rights are the largest controllable lever in creator pricing. Most creators undercharge here because the conversation is awkward and the rate card hasn't been built for it.
Recommended baseline: 30 days organic, in-network only. Anything beyond requires a separate line item.
- Organic only, 30 days: baseline (no uplift).
- Organic only, 90 days: +15–25%.
- Paid usage, 30 days, single network: +25–40%.
- Paid usage, 6 months, multi-network: +50–100%.
- Perpetual / full transfer of asset rights: +150–300% or treat as a buyout.
How engagement impacts rates
Engagement rate is the cleanest single number a creator can show a brand. It is also the metric most often miscalculated. The Vyntree Engagement Rate Calculator uses the average-engagement-per-post method, which is the brand-standard formula.
Pricing impact compounds. Engagement raises base rate and improves conversion, which raises long-term value, which raises renewal rates.
How creators can sustainably raise their rates
Rate increases stick when they're justified with data, not vibes. The most effective combination is: an updated media kit, a recent engagement-rate snapshot, two case studies with results, and a clearly defined usage-rights structure.
- Publish a public rate range so brands self-qualify before outreach.
- Quote per-deliverable, never per-month, until the partnership is proven.
- Bundle a 'paid usage' tier into every rate card by default.
- Refresh your media kit quarterly with the most recent 90-day metrics.
